1. Coldingham Bay Leisure Park, Berwickshire

Coldingham Bay Leisure Park is situated on the Berwickshire Coast, just an hour’s drive from Edinburgh. With 22 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the park offers the peaceful tranquillity of a countryside setting. With the beach and a host of activities and attractions just a stone’s throw away, it is a wonderful holiday retreat.

For those seeking a little more adventure, there are superb facilities, great watersports and a wealth of attractions available locally. Nearby you will find lots of fishing villages, market towns and coastal hotspots – just perfect for those relaxing days out.

2. Linwater Caravan Park, Edinburgh

Close to Edinburgh and the airport, highly rated Linwater is open all year round. It was a winner in the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards for best campsite in Scotland for 2018 and was nominated for the award again in 2019 as well as an award for outstanding customer service.

It’s graded as a high standard 4 star holiday and touring park by Visit Scotland, 4 pennants from the AA and has also received the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence for three years running.

Pitch up on grass or hardstanding with 16-Amp electric in your tent or tourer, or try a hassle free stay in a pod that acts as a timber tent. Pods offer shelter, heating and extras like a fridge and kettle – all without the need to pitch up your tent.

The site was first opened in 1998 and is a family business with a family feel, seeking to make guests feel welcome and offering advice for exploring the area.

Linwater Caravan Park is open all year round in 2021 and 2022.

3. Glenmore Campsite, Aviemore

A beautiful site, located near Aviemore in the heart of the beautiful Cairngorms. Scenic walking and cycling trails can be reached directly from Glenmore and explorers can enjoy views of the local native wildlife including deer, otters and golden eagles.

The 206 pitches are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with premium and seasonal pitches also available. Dogs and non-members are welcome.

4. Glencoe Mountain, Glencoe

Glencoe Mountain Resort is set in an area of astounding natural beauty near a site of special scientific interest for Golden Eagles.

The site offers ten microlodges, four microlodge pluses, four electric hook-up points and 15 camping plots.

The microlodges are well insulated, and have a kettle, heater, and plenty of sockets for charging devices. Microlodges accommodate up to four people, microlodge plus up to 6. Mattresses are provided, but you will need to bring sleeping bag, pillows and mugs. The units are incredibly popular with bikers, skiers, West Highland Way walkers and families.

Caravan and campervan pitches with electric hook-up offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the country to wake up to. Camping pitches are set within a woodland area on Rannoch Moor and enjoy amazing views out towards Buchaille Etive Mor.

5. Creagan Station Tourers, Oban
